Notes on Pistis


 

  1. Faith is something that can be witnessed by others.  Matthew 9:2; Mark 2:5; Luke 5:20; Colossians 1:4

  2. Faith accompanied by action leads to results.  Matthew 9:22; Mark 5:34; Luke 8:43-48

  3. Doubt renders faith impotent.  Matthew 21:21;

  4. Absence of faith leads to fear.  Mark 4:40

  5. One may lose faith.  Luke 22:32; Acts 13:8

  6. There is only one true faith.  Acts 6:7; 16:5; 24:24

  7. Faith in Jesus sanctifies.  Acts 26:27

  8. Faith is a characteristic of God.  Romans 3:3

  9. Jesus is a propitiation only for those with faith in His blood.  Romans 3:25

  10. Only those with faith in Jesus are justified by God.  Romans 3:26-28

  11. Faith is counted by God for righteousness.  Romans 4:5

  12. Faith in Jesus Christ gains access into grace.  Romans 5:1-2

  13. Some believers are weak in faith.  Romans 14:1

  14. Anything done without faith is sin.  Romans 14:23

  15. Faith is manifest by obedience.  Romans 16:26

  16. Faith coming from hearing the word of God stands in the power of God, not in the wisdom of men.  1 Corinthians 2:5

  17. Faith stands after spiritual gifts have ended.  1 Corinthians 13:13

  18. We walk by faith, not by sight.  2 Corinthians 5:7

  19. Faith grows.  2 Corinthians 10:15

  20. Each individual must examine themselves, whether they are in the faith.  2 Corinthians 13:5

  21. The promise of the Spirit is received through faith.  Galatians 3:14

  22. By faith, we, through the Spirit, wait for the hope of righteousness.  Galatians 5:5

  23. Faith in Christ Jesus working through love avails much.  Galatians 5:6

  24. Faith is one of the 9 fruits of the Spirit.  Galatians 5:22

  25. We are to do good to all men, especially those of the household of faith.  Galatians 6:10

  26. We are saved by grace through faith.  Ephesians 2:8
